I am running a 2003 honda 200 on the back of a 22 ft Key Largo and with a 4x14 1/2x15r stainless prop I am getting about 33 mph top speed. The rpm's are reading 5000 with it hammered down but I dont think it is accurate. I am pretty sure I shoule be getting a better top speed. I am not really looking for top speed but it would be nice to have a cruising speed of a little faster. Anybody have any recomendations?

4x14 1/2x15r
^^^^What is that??^^^^
Do you mean a 4 blade 14 1/2x15p?
First thing is to make sure your tach is accurate, and then you are using GPS for your speed. After you have done both of these then get some good data with and without all your gear and passengers.
Then post that info and you will get some good suggestions that will help.

You cant get anything but bad info with bad data.

that is with a gps and one passenger. Nothing else heavy except gas. Yes its a four blade. I am just trying to find out if going with a higher pitch prop is a good idea or not? The boat snaps out of the water pretty fast and if so would you recommend I get an aluminum one to start before I waste my money and find out it wasnt worth it?

The 15r means it's a 15 pitch, right hand (standard) rotation, good info. Is this the deck boat or the Bay Boat version?
