I'm a little torn between two Chaparrals.
2003 180SS listed at $9500 obo
- Only 173 hrs on this boat, 4.2L Volvo engine, 190 HP
- Kept in dry storage
- Recent full service (oil, plugs, belts, etc)
- Brand new 600W/6 speaker sound system with collapsible Wakeboard Tower
- iPod/USB connector for deck w/ remote
- Trailer, 8 life jackets, original boat cover, flat tube, all ropes and bumpers, and both bimini tops!

- New bilge pump and stereo
- Rockford Components throughout, and 2 12' woofers with amplifier
- monster tower, 2 wakeboard rack, 2 subs with tweeters, and 3 halo lights
- new shift cable, new nav light, and a new anchor.
- The boat comes with 6 Life jackets, 2 tow ropes, and all the coast guard required equipment. (Whistle, fire ext, etc)
-about 300 hours on a 4.3L Mercruiser
CONCERNS of mine:
- how are the prices?
- is the Merc or Volvo strong enough to pull a wakeboarder up with 5 or 6 people on board?
- any red flags from your experience purchasing boats - reliability, questions to ask, problems to avoid....
