2003 8hp johnny 4 stroke

i was going to buy a new kicker but ran across this motor on CL..it has less then 10hrs on it and was in show room shape with the factory sticker still on the prop..the owner had a troll master 3 installed..long story short i picked it up for 1100..i cant find much info on these motors..are they just as good as mercs honda's and yammi's..any input would be great..

Johnson was associated with Suzuki in later years though I couldn't find a 8 hp Suzuki.
You might try to compare it to other 8 4 strokes displacement and weight.
It could be a real Johnson.
