I am puzzled. When in neutral, the engine will rev up to 6000 rpm. I put the boat in the water and I can idle at 1000 all day, then putt around at 2200-2400 rpm for awhile no problems. When I get on the plane, she will only top out at 3800rpm. After running for 1 hour at 3800 rpm, I pull into a neighborhood, needing to idle and reduce power to 2200 rpm at which time she starts to sputter from 700 back to 2200, 700 back to 2000, 700 back to 1800 then sputter and kill. When I recrank, she idles rough until I let her sit for 10-15 minutes, then it is back to normal idle and slow putting, but never above 3800 rpm. I have changed ball, tank, fuel lines on VSP, fuel lines off of ball and tank, fuel filter, etc. I am now thinking I have a spark or fuel injection problem. Maybe 1 cyl not firing. Anyone have ideas, please help!!!! Thanks in advance!
