2003 230 SSI Stereo Control Issue

I have this boat with what appears to be a factory installed JBL stereo with CD mounted in the head. There are JBL remote touch pad controls at the helm, and at the swim platform, the problem is I can't seem to get them to work. Anyone have this set up out there ?? Ideas ??

Are they "wireless"... or are they like panel mounted possibly wired??

They appear to be hard wired

They are hardwired. Your JBL system is not made by JBL, they licenses the name. Contact Prospec Electronics, they manufactured these products for help.

Since the remote is no longer in production it might be hard to find a replacement. Also they have have a high failure rate.
