Launched the boat a few weeks ago after being laid up all winter.

Ran great 1s trip out, did a lot of trolling that day and for the 1st few trips after that. Def ran the boat at my 4200 rpm cruise speed for a good bit and have gone thru @ least 100 gallons of fuel so far this season, but also trolled more this season so far in 1st month then I did all of last season.

2nd or 3rd trip on (today was 5th I believe), I have noticed an increase in smoke output. I am using Pennzoil semi synth (and used last season as well).

Plugs were changed this week (thought that would have been problem), but she smoked excessively (more then I recall last 2 seasons).

Engine seems to run ok. Occasional warm stall issue common on these engines, but not hard to start when cold.

Weird is I noticed the excessive smoke on 1st trip out after filling tank with gas (did not notice smoke running on last season's stabilized gas).

Racor has not been changed yet from last season (marina was supposed to do with plugs this week.

I also noticed that the tell tale pee water is warm to the touch (not hot where I cant hold hand under it, but obviously warm).
Is that normal? Do not think I ever felt the tell tale water temp so nothing to compare to.

Water pump and T-stats were both done in May 2008.

Flat water, medium load gives me my 30mph cruise speed at 4200 rpm which is normal, so she appears to be running ok other then the extra smoke and possible warm water issue.
