History first...this engine less than 150 hrs on it was fogged and stored for the past 6 years. The fuel was tank completely emptied.
2013...Fuel pickup inspected, fill and vent lines checked, new racor filter and fresh non ethanol fuel and yamalube reservoir fresh,new impeller.
She idles quiet and throttles up smooth throughout range of rpms are not a problem in neutral.
No warning sounds and i don't believe this is an overheat problem. The stats are clean and work ok. On a cold engine I tried to advance the throttle in gear, rpms went over 3k then immediately reduced to ~2K.
I would appreciate all input from OB motor heads...needs something to go on
Any practical advice rebuilding these is also appreciated! TIA!
