My 25hp Nissan has a new water pump, but doen't want to "pee" while in gear and idling. If you put it back in neutral it will start peeing out back in 3 sec-every time. It does ok from mid range to high rpm. When you idle back it will stop pee'ing , and not restart until you shift back into neutral. Seems strange, but does this every time. :facepalm:
Talked to my local Nissan dealer, and stated I should pull the head off. He mentioned a water channel is known to clog up with grass. I don't know much of history, but this motor seems to run fine, other than this pump question. I don't want to pull the head if not needed, but will if this is not normal to this engine.
