2002 Mercury 3.0 Ground Wire Help

2002 Mercury 3.0
Putting my engine back in. I need help figuring out where the other end of this ground wire inside a split loom is suppose to go. One end I know for sure connects to the flywheel housing just above the starter. The other end routes along the transom, above the transom plate, and down toward the Exhaust Y pipe. Anyone know where this goes?

It could go to the back of the block. Is the opening of that electrical fitting small or large.

The connector fitting is small. Like for an 1/8” bolt to put it into perspective.
