Hi all I have a 2002 four winns single axle trailer that has the stainless steel end sleeves that have some wear and Im getting water into bearings been looking into maybe getting some skf speedie sleeves to fix it but they seem pretty costly and I have a grease hole that the sleeve will cover it, just wondering if I can actually buy the sleeve thats on there and change them out, cant find them anywhere I haven't tried a dealer yet but I bet you they arent cheap.especially in Canada . Any help would be great thanks

I do not believe Four Winns made their own trailers. Do you have a capacity plate/sticker than may show the real manufacturer?

You may be able to open up that grease hole in a sleeve that does not have one.

Four Winns did make the trailer, however I do not think that the stainless steel sleeve was installed by Four Winns. It looks like an aftermarket repair for a damage spindle. If you remove the sleeve,, you will probably find the original seal surface on the spindle is damaged. The easiest and lowest cost way to repair the spindle is to have the damage one cut off and have a new spindle welded on the axle. This is a common repair that can be done locally.

That damage you see on shaft happened to me shortly after I bought the boat I had lost a bearing and it was heavily damaged the seals are the same on both sides. It looks too original for being aftermarket repair thanks
