Hey everyone,

Im having issues with my 24ft wellcraft with a 02 ficht 200hp motor. Since I got it, it started to shut off after about 20 minutes of cruising. After it shuts off, it does not turn on until the computer resets for like 20-30minutes while the battery is off. My mechanic didn't have time to fully diagnosis but assumed it was starter & solenoid so I just replaced both and the motor cranks and runs but if i turn it off, it wont turn back on without me shutting perko switch off for a few minutes. Also I am hearing a new "whine" type of sound now. I put gallon of good oil in and there's plenty of gas. Any advice on next steps would be much appreciated.

fyi check PM

do you have access to EV Diagnostic software for WIndows ? without it you are kind of blind not knowing if any codes were set .

coud be overheat and shutting down by itself did you check the LED's on the EMM when it shuts down ???

venting OK ,, filters clean (incl VST return line ? what servicing was done on the engine ? impleller ok?

these are complex machines and if you are not familiar with them or do not plan to acquire EV diagnostics you may be in for a shop look/see athe stored codes

you may want to use the search utility here on this site or go to the ETEC owners board WHICH DO NOT ANSWER TO QUERIES ON FICHT but lots of valuable info on EV Diagnostic

anything developping ....?
Yes. I had my mechanic over and tried to connect to my EMM and wouldnt get any read on it. It looks like the T hose is most likely blocking water flow to cool the EMM and at some point it overheated and fried. Going to send my EMM to DFItechnologies to have them service/repair/replace it.
