Hi, I just bought this and the trailer is in great condition but the springs look old and really rusty. Aside from breaking one and breaking down when should one consider replacing them?O.T.

Are they rusted through, like holes, or just surface rust?

I wouldn't worry about it if it's just surface rust.

I guess you would need to replace them if they were visibly sagging, too.

Being that we're in brackish and salt water here in Florida, just give them a rinse at the end of the boating day and they should last the life of your trailer. My 2008 aluminum trailer has surface rust on the springs too.
