My motor calls for a pretty cold spark plug and i was just wondering if i should jump it up a heat range. It runs good and i understand that if it's not broken don't fix it. Just curious if anyone has changed to a hotter plug and if so was it a good thing or did it result in damage. Thanks in advance.

I would only use the specified spark plugs...if they're fouling with carbon or oil then you have other problems than plug heat range......

The plugs aren't fouling. I was just curious about heat range. Thanks for the input.

Have you seen pistons with holes in the tops from too hot of a plug?
Need to stay with what factory recommends

I've seen pistons destroyed by wrong spark plugs. I'll just stay with the factory plugs.
