I flew into a hunting cabin last week, and carried a 3 hp 2 stroke Yamaha to run around in the little cabin boat. I've had the little Yamaha since new and it has always started first pull...but for the life of me...I could not get it to start the first couple of days..drained the gas, replaced the plug (no start) and eventually tracked it down to not getting fuel. (it was laying on its side in the plane). Anyway, I did nothing, then tried it the third morning and it started first pull and ran fine thereafter. What could possibly be up with that? And should I be fussing with something?

Did I not post enough information? Or is this just something that I shouldn't worry about?

sounds like either the fuel valve was off or maybe the tank filter is clogging or possibly the needle valve got jammed in transit.
