i have a 200hpdi thats starts great cold.
run to a spot kill engine and it will start immediately.
wait 30min to a hour and it will hardly start, giving
it some throttle it will start idle rough then clear up.
tps sensor has been adjusted seems to be better
at .48 volts. i have noticed the bulb being soft when
it fails to start also. once running it turns 5500
rpm with no problems any ideas??

Check the battery voltage at the different times and compare.

did you check the voltage after you sat at your spot for an hour running all your gear? do you have a dedicated start battery?

Re: 2002 200 hpdi troubles

could it be the low pressure fuel pumps??
i notice when i get home the plastic bowl
has been about 3/4 full each time. once it
starts its great up to 5700rpm. can they be rebuilt
or should you buy new ones?
