2002 115 4 stroke gas in the oil.

Working on a 2002 115 4 stroke.
Change the oil, has about 2 gallons in the oil pan.
Smells a little like gas????

on a diesel engine it would be the gasket/o-rings sealing the pump from the gear housing
sorry Jerry, that's all I know, maybe it has a similar set-up ?????

Prolonged running at idle in cold water not getting up to temp.
Fouled plug not burning.
coil failure
injection staying open if it has it.
worn engine and poor compression allowing gas by the rings when not combusting.
