Hey guys I have a 2001 Seadoo XP. I was riding it the other day and the alarm went off because it had overheated. When it cooled down, I started it again and noticed that water was no longer coming out the side like usual. I hooked the flush kit up to it and it was coming out the side and the back like normal... What could be the problem?

Re: 2001 XP Cooling Problem

blocked coolant ports.

you've an obstruction somewhere. pull the lines from the pipe and the head and blow through them and see where the blockage is. there's a sneaky line there behind the pipe on the fat part, though in that sweet, sweet XP hull it's not that hard to get to...

while you're at it,take a look at your pump. you don't have a cavitation issue, do you? occasionally an extemely worn pump liner will cause low coolant pressure...

you could have sand packed into your cylinder jackets, you haven't been running really shallow lately have you??
