2001 df70 runs and idles smoothly. no vibrations no codes no lights starts perfectly. while idling back thru no wake zone I noticed there was an oil slick on top of water and son in law said he smelled gas. loaded boat on trailer and investigated for signs of oil leak. none found with top cowl on and no signs of oil on and parts of lower unit etc. any idea where oil is coming from ( maybe exhaust ? ) first 4 stroke I have owned and just 2nd time been on the water
