Help! 2001 Sanger V210 dies in idle; idles between 650-700rpm, and after approx. 15 seconds will die. Runs great when engaged. Tried changing both filters, did not help. Tried draining fuel and running premium w/ additive, did not help. Serpentine belt went out concurrent with this issue, so we replaced it and the impeller. Still dies in idle. Tried adjusting idle up to see if it helped, and it did, but then tranny clunks when engaged (obviously not good idea to idle at 800rpm, just wanted to troubleshoot. Any thoughts?

So, the boat is a 2001 21' Sanger. What's the engine? (make, model, year, serial number)

Sounds like either the oil pressure sender failed, or the wiring going to it. But that is for carbed engines only. You need a serial number for any real info.

Not sure how you adjusted idle. These engines have the idle controlled by the computer.
Try to get it back to where it was. Your transmission won't last long shifting at higher RPMs.
Best bet is to have the engine scanned for codes.

It might be possible that your belt has been shedding rubber dust before it went bad. Might want to check your IAC muffler in the throttle body to see if it's plugged up.

Most likely cause for your problem is a bad IAC. Only way to test for that is to swap IAC with a known good one or hook up scan tool and take manual control of IAC and see if its working.
