I have a 01 polaris 2 cylinder. Ran fine the day i bought it,second day it quit, replaced the coil { not the right one the dealer said original was not available} it ran for a short while before quiting again. i have not replaced the coil again to check ,but i believe it to have shot another coil.
Would the stator cause the coil to blow? If so ,does anybody know where to find parts for the polaris?

Thanks in advance for any help?

Thanks for the reply. I will shop for another coil. If for some strange reason it blows another coil , what would be your suggestion to try next?

Re: 2001 Polaris blowing coils

you can actually still get lots of polaris electrical parts new(google suggested to find a couple of dealers that sell them), but the supply IS running out and it can take weeks to get them.

I would avoid any shop that doesn't use an original polairs coil on a ski, the cdi is very very sensitive to voltages and it's easy to fry one. USED one can sell upwardsof $300 ( if you can find one..those are in REAL short supply)

You may not have a bad coil at all, if craking voltage on a polaris ski goes under 10.5 v, you get no spark. period

Find a good mechanic that knows these skis and all of thier quirks and you should get this problem solved at minimal costs.
