2001 mercury optimax 135 wont start

engine ran fine last year drained and stored it.
just pulled it out put gas in it and wont start, changed the plugs and fuel pump still wont start .
primed the fuel system still nothing, pulled the new plugs no fuel .
any suggestions on which way to go ?
