Buzzing along after a carb rebuild and all was fine until ......The green and white wire from the stator rubbed itself raw and shorted on the flywheel. Buddy towed me, took a look at home and realized what had happened. The wire has been repaired but now the motor will will not start. I checked the spark and it is strong, it certainly jumps 7/16 of an inch.So far I have checked the trigger and it reads according to spec. The stator is producing juice I presume due to the very healthy spark..I am leaning to having blown the switchbox but have not the tools to check it. I am going to check the stator resistance shortly as I do have a multimeter. I hope I can solve this issue today and will post as I go along. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I checked the resistance on the stator . There is none, OPEN on my digital and nothing on my analog. Why do I have a hot spark if my stator reads bad.? The trigger tested as being good.

if stator would be bad so cdi box will not produce any woltage and coils will not gaet any voltage to transform.
repaired cables are fine. didnt crossed?
flywheel key is in place?
