2001 Johnson 90 hp

I'm looking at a used 1994 boat and a 2001 Johnson 90 HP is the engine that comes with it. The owner must have blown the 1994 engine and replaced it with the Johnson. Was that a "bad year" for them while the bankrupcy was going on??

Howdy, Jim.<br /><br />I think that the 2001 Johnnys are all carbureted. That means no Ficht to worry about.<br /><br />Bombardier agreed to cover the warranty on 2001 OMC engines.<br /><br />I think those two facts add up to it being a good engine to buy.<br /><br />Good luck.
