I have a 2001 yamaha 800GPR. I recently dropped in a rebuilt motor and reinstalled all parts as before. When I hooked up to the flush kit, it ran fine and reved up fine with no problems. I took it down on the water and the ski has no power. I pressed the gas all the way and the ski won't go past 3000 rpms., and if I won't keep my finger on the gas it will die on me. I had this ski for over 2 yrs. I originaly replaced the top end and the power valves didn't work. Replaced PV motor, and the engine would goto 38-42 mph but would bog down at full open throttle. Played with the carbs, no joy. Rebuilt carbs, no joy. Replaced carbs with carbs from a 99 800gp and it was doing the same thing. Then the crankshaft oil seal went bad and i had to replace the magneto and a whole engine. As I stated at the beggining, dropped new motor and reinstalled all components and the ski has no power in the water. Can anyone help me with my ski? Any ideas? I have replaced all the components.........
