I have a 2001 glastron GS249 with 5.7 Volvo SX. I can't get it above 4100 rpm's @ WOT. Checked the throttle cable and it is adjusted right. Checked out fuel system and no issues there. It came with a 14 x 17p alum prop. Went to a s/s 17p and no change. Had the prop repitched to a 15p with no changes. Should I go to a 19p or would I be going in wrong direction? Boat weighs about 6000 lbs. Can't get the speed over 37 mph when other people are going anywhere from 44 to 50 mph. Boat runs great just bugging the crap out of me why rpm's are where they are at. Appreciate any direction with this.

19" is the wrong way. I would say you have some sort of motor issue.
You might do a compression test; note the location and condition of each plug. check the timing that it is set right and advancing all the way.You may have one cylinder not firing. You wouldn't be the first to not realize you were running on 7 instead of 8.
