2001 70HP Johnson Questions

I'm looking at a used boat here in Southwest Florida. It is a 16' Palm Beach with a 2001 70 HP Johnson motor. I have no experience with this year motor. Are there any things to watch out for or any notorious maintenance issues? This baby has been in salt water and I have not seen it yet...kind of want to show up prepared with questions (I know, for a salt motor that old, I'll need a small machine shop). All I can say if it spent all it's time in salt water, beware. If it was maintained well it might be okay.
