I was servicing my outboard, and the overheat sensor went off while I was running the motor in water. Water was not coming out of the "pee hole" either.
I disassembled the water pump, and this is what was found. I know i need to replace the impeller, but do from the looks of my provided pictures would i need to replace the impeller plate? After I cleaned the impeller plate, i noticed that it looked somewhat damaged and engraved from the impeller. Any input or advice would be great. Cheers.
