I bought an outboard flush kit. The kit is the "858566A1 FLUSH KIT-COASTAL" for my 2001 mercury 125hp. I was looking for the install instructions but cannot find any. Does anyone know how the kit is installed? Any information is appreciated.

About the only advice I could offer would be to contact mercury outboard customer assistance by email and see if they can be of assistance to you as they sometimes have access to some insulation diagrams. If you do find something, please update this thread as there is nothing online about it except for one other guy asking the same type of question with no reply back to him. I was able to get a copy of the installation instructions which I attached. I am a novice and I found it fairly easy to install. The instructions refer to the "plug or gauge fitting." This is the temperature sender. I did not have to install the new cowl grommet. I attached a hose and it seemed to wash the outboard fine. I had water coming from the lower unit and the tell tale. If anything was done wrong I am sure I will find out on the next trip.
