2000s Honda carburetor

I have a 2000s Honda 8hp, im missing a carb and I'm wondering what will fit. I can buy I new one for 100 or a used one from a older 10hp, will it fit? I can't find differences but I need a professional opinion, thanks

There are A and D series 8s and 10s. An A series has a more square hood, the D series motors have a more rounded hood.
The D series 8s and 10s carbs should interchange. The A series I do not believe they will. And the A and D series definitely will not interchange between the different series of motors.

There are also identification numbers on each carburetor that designate what series of carburetors it belongs to. They will have to be the same series of carb to work.
