Hi i took my boat out last friday everything went fine. walked outside today and have a little puddle of oil on the driveway under my motor the oil was coming out of the water intake on the lower unit so i checked the lower unit oil just to be safe it is fine. when i went to check the motor oil oulled the dip stick out and water and oil gusshed out everywhere. i know a little about motors and was wondering if this means my base gasket is bad? does anyone have any ideas? THANK YOU

First thing you need to do is drain the oil completely, put some new oil in and run it a few times and change the oil about 2-3 times, you can use cheap oil because you are going to do this until the oil no longer looks milky. Run it on a flushette for about 10 min/change oil check for milkiness, repeat 2-3X. You could have swamped the motor and sat in the cowel dripped down into the sump. Could have cracked block but definately do a compression test first.
