2000 Yamaha 150 hp runs fine then sputters at dock.

Had carbuerators rebuilt then tuned up a month ago. Put in water a week ago and had an easy start up and ran great for total of four hours but every time it sputters and stalls as I enter marina area. I am concerned about this issue since slips are close together and controlling slow speed is very difficult after a long but medium speed runabout on the bay. Thanks and look forward to any help for a new boater.

if it did not run right after the work was done to it, you need to have them fix it right.

if it ran fine at all PM after the carb work, but does not now, it means something got messed up .
sounds like the pilot jet passages have a problem if it will not run at low RPM or one or more cylinders are not firing/running properly for some other reason.

Sometimes they get too hot and stumble when you slow down.
