What oil should I use for this? Preferably one I can get from WalMart or the auto store.

If you don't want to use what is recommended by the manufacturer (VOLVO) then use what ever puts a smiile on your face.
Every oil out there is liked and recommended by some boater somewhere.

I just got my hand on this boat and dont have an engine manual yet. DO you know what Volvo recommends? Is this it?

Do you have a full engine model number? Or even a model number.
With either, you can go to the link below and download a free owners manual that has the info you want.

most Volvo engines say to run stirate 30w oil, So it would be safe to run any good name brand of oil you like, And you are right wal-mart has one of the best deals on oil.
