So today i went out on the water and my boat was doing good. But when i went to take another run my temp went way up on me. So o turned around and docked it. I was happy that i remembered my tools today! So i checked all the hoses i found them all hot so i knew i did not have any water flow. Found that the water pump impeller was done for. So i ran and got one put it on and took it back out. But after a little bit it got hot again? I now have flowing water from the pump. But im guessing its the thermostat? What makes me think that is the hose that comes from the pump to the top of the block has water on the pump side but on the other side on the other hose is bone dry. It looks to me like its a thermostat But i have never looked at a boat one before. Also the recirculating is new

When you took out the old impeller, were there missing vanes? Check all of your hoses for loose pieces of impeller. Odds are you have a blockage caused by the bad impeller.

I would agree with Trego. If there are vanes missing from the impeller then they are somewhere in the system and likely the cause of the blockage. Keep looking until you find and remove them

Missing impeller pieces have a tendency to collect in the thermostat housing and plug the passages there. Those passages are smaller than the hoses. Pull the housing and prod the holes and make sure they're clear.
