I repaired a 2000 Seadoo LRV a short while ago. I went through all of the manual tests and found that the electric box was bad. I looked to find the cause of it. I did not find any blown fuses in either the electric box or the rear box that contains the starter solenoid & ignition coils. I did find some water sitting in the rear box, so I dried that out. I also found that the starter solenoid was bad while doing my initial diagnosis.

I replaced the electronic box and starter solenoid. I then had the electronic box programmed to accept the key. We tested it on the lake and everything ran fine. I returned it to our customer. About a month later he called me and said he tried to start it for the first time since the repair was done. It would not start. I did my initial diagosis this weekend and it points to the electronic box being bad again. Again no fuses were blown. It appears that I am getting 12 volts up to the box, but not getting any voltage to the ignition coils.

Can anyone suggest what may be causing this, and if there is anything else to check? Thanks in advance.

bad coil ground wire in the coil box to the battery,, small black wire that goes from the metal plate in the coil box,, or the wire harness pin connectors are bad,, usually the ground wires in sea doo harnesses will go bad internally and cause all sorts of issues as will the main ground from the battery to the engine by the starter,, try a ground jumper from the battery neg to the brain box etc and see if that helps
