Can anyone tell me if Sea Pro had any problems with their boats prior to this years model? I am looking at a 2000 Sea Pro SV2100CC, with a Yamaha 150HP-2stroke engine with 14 hours on it. Asking price is $16,500. The boat has not been used much....Any news about this make and model will help. Thanks.

Currently I have a Ranger Bass boat, but cannot afford a new Ranger bay boat...Just did not know about this brand????

Sea Pro's are good boats, I researched them extensively last year and almost bought a new one but ended up going used.

The new ones have no wood in them whatsoever. Not sure about the 2000 model as far as that goes, but they have a good reputation and in my opinion are a good boat.

If it's really got 14 hours on it over 5 years I'd have it checked over first. Lack of use kills more boat systems than over use.

After my first year with my Sea Pro, I am very happy. The bay was rough this year and I put my 180 CC to its limits. The only issue that you might want to check is the stainless rub rails...I think the stainless is a bit thin and I have some rust forming where is rubbed the dock. Also, the anchor compartment lid stays closed via a screw and plastic v shaped clip..that looks like an afterthought and it broke the 2nd week out. For the money, it is a boat that is perfect for the shallow waters and provides more protection than most bay boats with 2 foot waves. The 10 year warranty is good and they fixed all issues with no questions last week!
