I have searched the threads here. I have found many about overheating at high RPMs but nothing at idle. Here is my problem.
If I have a long no wake zone or even sit at the dock too long the overheat alarm starts up and wont stop until I get up to speed. This usually takes about 5 minutes at Idle then the alarm starts. Once I get up to about 3000 RPM and over it will stop in about 5 minutes. I did verify that it was the temp sending unit causing the alarm.
Is it a bad sending unit or what? Any help would be appreciated.
