I have just picked up a Seadoo boat with a Merc V6 Fuel Injected 240hp in it. The boat ran great when last used over a year ago.(says Prev owner) It has set up since. All the fuel was drained, fuel system flushed etc. It seems to not have spark now. He took it to a pwc shop ( Which has no clue what they are doing with a Merc engine) and they gave him the run around about needing all 6 coils replaced, a new Throttle position sensor, and a trigger coil. Along with steering cable, throttle cable etc. Basically just wanting his money. Does anyone know what Wires to check to test the trigger coil and TPS to see if these are in fact bad? Before the boat was taken into the shop, it would sputter and try to start but would not fire up. Now the boat does nothing other than turn over after leaving the shop... Any one have any advise on where to start here?

Kind off funny - Bombardier using Brunswick horsepower. They did that because they could get 250 hp out of a single Merc Jet instead of using two of the Rotax motors.

Pretty cool and can be serviced by any qualified Merc technician. Take it to one and he can check the ECU for fault codes. He can nail it down quicker than we could. Once you know the problem you might opt to fix it yourself and we can help you with that.
