I have a 2000 MB Sports ski boat. It has a PCM 5.7L 350. Its a D-Drive and looks almost identical to the 2000 mastercraft prostar 190.
The issue Im having is electrical I believe. The boat has 2 injectors sitting over the carb. The injectors will sometimes work and sometimes not. I have tested the voltage on them and they either get full power or non at all. I have gone crazy chasing wires down looking for a bad connection but as far as I can tell everything is good.
I dont believe its bad injectors because I tested the wires for power and they sometimes get power and then other times non at all(typical of bad connection). When they do or dont work its both at the same time....never just one or the other.
The fuel pump kicks on every time and I can also feel the relays kick on and off also.
Ive tried wiggling wires and wiggling connections to see if anything happens and no difference. It just sometimes decides to spray fuel and start and other times not. Once its running, it runs like a champ and doesnt miss a beat.
Im not sure but is this typical of the ECM going out???
Please let me know if I can provide any more info on this. I am clueless of what to do next.
