As I understand, the newer OMS systems are different than the older VRO oil injection systems. Is the removal process the same? I have found many walkthroughs for removing the system, but none of the walkthroughs address this question:
If the pump is mechanical, which it is, and unplugging it only disables the alarm, then what is the oil side of the pump doing after you cap it off? Obviously it is still trying to pump oil. Seems to me it would eventually just burn out because of the suction formed by plugging the lines. Does anyone know?
