Hello everyone hope your July 4th is safe and good.

I have been having repeat high idle problems on my 2000 Johnson 150hp Oceanpro. 18ft Four Winns open bow. 14.5X19 prop.

Seams to idle too fast and maybe slightly rough when in the water and warmed up. 1100rpm in neutral, and 950 to 1050rpm when in gear. Appears to run fine at mid and WOT 4900rpm and 47mph.

Starts fine cold no throttle advance needed. 2 to 3 starts and runs on it's own.
All throttle plates closed tight.
Link and sync appears good.
Timing plate returns completely.
Throttle plates and timing plate activate at same time.
Low idle mixture screws out 5 turns per manual. Have trouble making final adjustments since it idles too fast and seems rough.
All 6 carbs rebuilt and super clean.
Timing at 6 degrees at idle and 20 degrees at WOT set with OMC ignition tool.
All six cylinders firing, checked with timing light.
All six plugs clean and moist.
Not allot of coughing or sputtering but not as smooth as I remember.
Purred like a kitten as I remember but that was some time ago.

Replaced temp sensor and throttle plate spaghetti o-rings last year.

I thought I had this fixed last year. I remember it running good for awhile back down to 700rpm but now the problems is back.
Need a solution.
Could throttle plate o-rings gotten messed up again on their own?
I was surprised to find a squashed/cut section on one o-ring that had not been touched since the engine was new.
Could the temp sensor have crapped out again after 1 year?
Am I looking for an air leak? How do I find it?

Running out of ideas. don't want to waste money and throw parts at it. Please help.
