Could someone please tell me if this is the recommended service manual for my outboard. If I'm gonna drop $$$ on one, I want the best I can get. I can't locate a manual for my specific outboard. The model number on my OB is J150PLSSC. If you'd recommend one in particular, please provide a link. Many thanks in advance!

It is hard to tell if that is the correct manual. It is probably more generic than necessary, as it covers a lot of models, likely 90* and 60* V motors, and maybe crossflow and looper models.

I'm having a LOT of difficulty finding a "model specific" service manual. Any recommendations? If I had a link for one, I'd buy it TODAY!

Heck, if anyone would be so kind as to post some images of the "Link and Sync" procedure from the manual for this outboard, I'd be forever grateful !!!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Quick question. What is covered under the "accessory" guides? Will only the "service manual", and "parts manual", suffice for my needs?

Service manual will be very beneficial as well as the owners manual. The accessory is just a cataloge of the extra's omc offered that model year. A parts catalog maybe helpful but i find not beneficial. Using the online parts catalog on the BRP site is the best. However the main drawback is 1) you need an internet connection to view, 2) it doesnt list succession on obsolete/NLA parts. However iboats/crowley marine does offer a great succession list

Many thanks! Order placed. Do you know if the service manual covers the instrument guage (trouble guage)? The one in my instrument cluster isn't working, and I'm hoping there are also tests I can perform to help troubleshoot. Also, are there any special tools required for carb removal/assembly/adjustment? Thanks again!

Service Manual in hand! But, I'm disappointed to have learned I'll need a $250 tool to set the timing on this outboard! ... :-/ ... Possible without it?

BTW ... I "did" get the System Check guage working too. It performs the initial test as its supposed to. (1/2 second beep with all 4 lights illuminated, then each goes off individually).
