Hi guys - I ran my 60 gallon fuel tank down in my CC further than I probably should have. Motor was running great but after fueling up I began losing power after 3500 RPM or so. I figure I stirred up some crud in the bottom of the tank. I have an in line Racor water seperator with a drain and drained that. I am not familiar with any other filters on the powerhead. Any advice on how best to proceed would be appreciated. TIA

Well a de-carb may be in order, unfortunately. But what you can do is first put an inline fuel filter in your hose to prevent this from happening again. Then you can mix up a heavy seafoam mixture into a small gas can and run it I to the motor, let it set I the carbs for about 15 mins, then run it again. I'd put a half can of seafoam into a gallon of gas an run it down, at idle and a bit higher. Then run a lighter seafoam mix and take her for a spin.

Look under the airbox for a main strainer. Of course, your water seperator is a finer filter, so the strainer should be clean. Maybe you have some water in the gas?

Jack up the trailer tongue and remove the fuel gauge sender plate. Stick a siphon hose into the tank and draw off 5 gal of fuel, making sure to "vacuum" the bottom rear of the tank. Allow the fuel to settle in a clear container and see what you have. Good fuel can be strained thru a rag and reused. Water and water/alochol mix needs to be discarded.
