This will be my first post, and based on what I'm finding or not finding, as I'm sorting through the boxes, it won't be my last.
Picked up a 2000 230H w/7.4L Volvo Penta PEFS, 90 hours. Bent a rod, which is why it was apart. Had the block honed, heads got a valve job and slight surface. No cracks in either. Engine parts I know are missing or broken: Injectors, fuel pump/cell, shield between the block and intake and coil, so far. Will also need a Alt, Starter and Water pump. The electric engine hatch actuator is also missing(along with the two batteries and stereo)
My question!
Do any of these parts have a GM counterpart? Do any of these parts interchange with Mercuruiser? I've been looking at the same engine configuration on a 2000 GM truck for the injectors, but was wondering if it'll work. I do have the ECU. As I alluded to, I will probably continually find missing items as it goes together, but am shooting for a mid June launch date
. Any expertise in this arena would be very helpful.
