I have a 2000 ficht 200 hp motor on my boat. I was out on the boat the other day and it was running great all day, but when it was time to head back to the dock is when i had some trouble. as i throttled up the motor i started to pick up speed and all of a sudden it the bost just stopped. the motor runs fine at low throttle and the moves fine. when i try and throttle up the motor revs up but the boat goes no where. I have multiple problems with this motor and i know they are known for the problems people have with them. I have sunk a lot of money into this motor over the past years. I am hoping this is one of the easy fixes. any help is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like you spun the rubber hub on prop. Take the prop off and look at the front side of the prop, if the rubber hub looks funky have the prop rebuilt or buy a new one.

Prop slipping:
1. Mark inner and outer hubs with indelible marker
2. Run boat to planning speed
3. Compare marks ? if they?ve moved relative to each other, hub is slipping
4. Remove prop
5. Take it to a propeller shop and have it rehubbed
