2000 Evinrude 15hp 4 stoke stops running!

I earlier wrote to you all about a 2000 Evinrude 15hp 4 stroke trolling motor that starts and runs great for about 45 minutes and then shuts down. After sitting for 15-20 minutes will start and run great for 20 minutes and then shuts down again. <br /><br />It has been in the shop twice! The pick up tube in main fuel tank to motor was replaced along with a new ball on fuel line, new fuel line from tank to motor, and new impeller on water pump. <br /><br />After I received comments from iboat members, I immediately replaced the ignition module with a Bombardier upgrade and a new coil. <br /><br />Unfortunately, it still continues to still shut down after about 45 minutes! This has become very frustrating and any additional comments or ideas from members would truly be appreciated. <br /><br />Thanks

Hey Kitchen.....<br /><br />Still sounds heat related from the times lines you've given. Probably the charge coil under the flywheel....but to be sure, you need to run the engine till the problem arises again and then immediately check the charge coil for output. The charge coil sets under the flywheel where it can get pretty warm. Have you noticed any "goo" laying around under the flywheel?

I was thinking along the same lines since I have changed about all there is to change at this point. I didn't see any goo, but then again was not necessarily looking for it. I will now. My manual lists this as a Charge and Power coil in the Stator assembly. I need to see if I have to order the whole assembly or the coils separate. <br /><br />I have been searching the internet under 2000 evinrude 15 hp 4 stroke power and/or charge coil and stator assemblies with no success. Does anyone know where to look envinrude parts like this?<br /><br />Thanks again
