HI,
I have a 2000 evinrude 115 fuel injected (ficht) outboard. very low hours (100 - 125) has run great all year, smooth,quiet. bought wakboard a few weeks ago, so now its all about idol,idol,wham, nail it wide open, back off, then (i fall) slow down, idol, and wide open again. so been fine all of a sudden it is starting to really studder stumble when we nail it now, takes about 1-2 secs for it to start to really accelerate. then as an hour goes by i notice the idol getting rougher, has died out a few times while idoling, and then it gets harder and harder to restart, takes 4 or 5 trys to start. but when its going, and wide open, no stumbles, clean running, smooth, proper rpms's are beeing reached. i changed my plugs and fuel filter right away. nada? any ideas before i have to go to the shop? not sure if the skiing has anyting to do with problem but just wanted to mention it. also it seems at first start of day its not soo bad, but gets worse as we are wakeboarding longer?
