2000 Bayliner Capri 1600 Gas Lid

I am restoring a 2000 Bayliner Capri 1600 and cannot get the gas lid off. It looks easy enough, like a flip lid but no luck. It won't budge like there is a key switch combination which I cannot find evidence of, any experience out there would be greatly appreciated!

My classic has a typical spin off cap. I think I've seen photos of what you have, but haven't ever used one. My understanding though is that there is a little button on the bottom (6PM. position). Depress that, and up it should go.

If not, you'll have to disassemble from behind the splash well, I think.
