I have a 17 whaler and am interested in a 90 hp tohatsu 2000 model. It has trim as tilt with a total of about 50 hours on motor seems very solid and extremely clean. What is a decent deal for one I see one for sale at 2,000 grand is that a fair deal ? Also any common problems I should look for and around what compression should the motor be at in each cylinder. I used to have a tohatsu 40 and liked it but still a little unsure . Thanks for all the help .

What is the actual model? Year means nothing. For any used OB, condition is everything. 2K is probably OK, if it isn't all corroded from salt, and is in good mechanical condition.
