It looks like my 2000 Johnson 90hp needs a new fuel pump. Runs fine on the primer bulb, but will only run a few mins without pumping the bulb. I've replaced the Racor filter (it was due anyhow) and put a new bulb on. I disconnected one of the two fuel lines to the carb banks and get only a small dribble when cranking. I checked all the hoses and fittings and whatnot and am pretty sure the pump is bad. I have been running premix beautifully up until now with the vro oil line blocked, using stock vro pump. Question: I would like to replace the pump with a simpler/cheaper (old style) gas in/ gas out/ pulse pump for about $50, rather than spending 300+ for the 5007422 non-vro bolt-in option....but, how do I connect the fuel-out line from one of those to my existing motor that has a press-in barb fitting with the 2 o-rings? How do I convert that press-in connection to standard hose fitting? Thanks... John 88 Mako
