I have a mild warm start issue. Basically most of the time the warm engine starts in neutral (no gas) and then stalls over a 10 second period of time. It quickly starts if I press the neutral throttle switch and give it 1/3 gas. Idle speed is perfect. Cold starts are instant at 1/3 throttle. It also smells bad on warm starts.

The boat sat last season without being used. That alone makes me think a carb kit can't hurt. We used up all the old gas goofing off for the past few weekends. The boat now has fresh stabilized fuel in it.

Attached is a pic of my carb numbers. Will this Holley 2300 kit work? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-37-1543

thanks

As long as your old/the new power valve is the same then that kit should work fine. Pretty sure your power valve is going to be a 2.5 so try looking into that. Maybe call them? If not, post #2 has some good tips as well.http://forums.iboats.com/forum/engi...-o-inboard-engines-outdrives/390089-carb-help

Here's some tips about checking your power valve. It's a sensitive part of the Holley carburetor that is know to fail.

Good luck.:)
